NW learners to compete on best road safety models

Eight schools from the Province will compete for the best road safety design models during the annual Provincial Participatory Road Safety Education Techniques (PET) project.

The project is a flagship programme set to change learner’s attitude towards road safety and encouraging them to be aware of road safety challenges in their community as well as to enhance learners’ presentation skills by ways of presentation sessions.

The participants are provided with resource materials for building the models that they will use to conduct oral and display presentations, and be adjudicated on these models (displays), as they will be expected to illustrate their community road safety problems and researched solutions.

The winning school will represent the Province to the National Competition which will be held in the Province from 02-06 October 2017 at the Orion Hotel in Rustenburg.
