OCP: The Provincial Chief Procurement Officer

The Office of the Provincial Chief Procurement Officer oversee the Provincial public procurement system to ensure that the procurement of goods, services and construction works is conducted in a fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost effective in line with the Constitution and all relevant legislations. The Office is not necessarily directly involved in departmental procurement, although the directorate performs transversal procurement on behalf of Provincial Departments and oversees the way in which government does business with the private sector.
