Provincial Language Services

• Advise various provincial government departments and municipal authorities on the development and implementation of the language
• Co-operate with other government departments, municipal authorities and public entities through intergovernmental Language Forum.
• Responsible for the formulation of a provincial language policy and ensures that municipal authorities develop their own language policies in line with the provincial language policy.
• Conduct research on the use of languages by the communities in the province.

3.3. SIGN LANGUAGE DEVELOPMET

• Ensure that sign language is developed and promoted in line with the guidelines contained in the Constitution and the provincial language policy.

3.4. INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT & PROJECTS:
