MEC Motlhabane to Welcome Newly Trained Traffic Officers for NW

North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management MEC, Dr Mokgantshang Motlhabane will welcome newly trained traffic officers who recently completed their 12 Months Traffic Officer Diploma at a Traffic Training College in Pretoria.

The Department, on yearly basis, continues to recruit unemployed young people between 18 and 35 years and provides them with a Learnership program to train to become Traffic Officers.

The programme contributes immensely towards addressing the shortage of traffic officers in Bokone Bophirima and it further assist in the envisaged reduction of unemployment, poverty and inequality in the Province, especially in the previously disadvantaged Villages, Townships and Small Dorpies within Bokone Bophirima.

The recruitment of these young people follows the commitment made by the Department, which is: to intensify traffic law enforcement operations, increase the visibility of law enforcements agents as well as to reduce road accidents and fatalities on all major roads of Bokone Bophirima.

The newly trained officers will resume their duties in different traffic station across the Province.
