MEC Motlhabane to encourage the spirit of volunteerism during Safety Month

In ensuring an involvement of the public specifically young people in the fight against crime, the Community Safety and Transport Management MEC, Dr Mpho Motlhabane will encourage the spirit of volunteerism during the safety and security month.

Motlhabane will address a gathering of more than 500 people inclusive of Road Safety Stray Animal Rangers, Community Patrollers and the Ramotshere Moiloa Municipality’s EPWP recruits.

The day’s activity will start with the multi-purpose roadblock, where MEC will further engage with motorists on issues of safety on the roads before leading his high powered entourage to the Zeerust Town Hall to address the above target groups.

The departmental MEC will further hand over more than 20 marked vehicles to the Provincial Traffic Stations in the Province with an aim of increasing traffic visibility mostly in major roads of the Province. MEC Motlhabane will be accompanied by the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality’s Mayor, Cllr Kereng Mothoagae and the Municipality’s councilors.

Members of the media are therefore invited to take part on activities which will take place as follows:
